Looney Tunes

I grew up watching a lot of cartoons and of course Looney Tunes are a classic. Two of my favourite characters are Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. And Looney Tunes has an amazing way of naming their characters. There’s always

that returning consonant. D-affy D-uck, T-wee T-y, P-o P-ey, … and I can go on and on.

They’re all names you’ve heard of so many times and you’re so used too, you hardly ever wonder how people actually come up with it. I’m sure it’s not as easy as it sounds. But hell, did they do a good job with it or what! After more than a decade, and I still remember all of the Looney Tunes family members – and c’mon who doesn’t?

I had a bit of a go at Bugs Bunny today. Tried to add a bit of a dop shadow behind him, hope that doesn’t look too shabby. Looney Tunes characters aren’t complex. They’re all simple lines, but very powerful in what they portray.

Well, that’s all for my challenge today. I hope you had a wonderful Thursday and remember, the weekend is almost upon us!

What’s up Doc? 😉
