For everybody who’s watching Asian dramas, I’m sure you know how addicting they are. I started watching TVB and ATV dramas when I was 5. A lot has changed since then. I no longer watch ATV and actually I don’t watch much
of TVB anymore either – unless I just want something playing in the background while I’m doing more important stuff. TVB’s quality has dropped significantly ever since 2005 (and that’s IMHO) and I’m not sure whether it’s because their top actors are gone or simply because their storylines have gotten worse (when was the last time you watched a sad TVB ending? -_-).
So after leaving these networks behind, what am I watching nowadays? Well, I am watching a lot (A-LOT) of Kdrama. But c’mon tell me who isn’t?! They are so addicting and most of the time I find myself sobbing in the middle of the night instead of sleeping. And that’s all because Koreans know how to do a damn good cliffhanger!
The only thing that stops me from a non-stop kdrama binging session, is watching dramas that are currently aring. So I’m basically limited to 2 episodes/drama/week (talk about torture!). If not for that, I would probably finish 16 episodes in 1 day, and that right after I get home from work.
Currently on my to-watch-list is: Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim, Legend of the Blue Sea, Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop, Goblin, Hwarang and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. I’m totally loving Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim & Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo so much! Both dramas are very different and that’s why they balance my week out so well. It’s something I really look forward to after a tiring day at work. I just want to come home and get some kdrama on – and eat some ice cream (but that’s optional hehe).
Long story short: Here’s my doodle for today, Kim Bok Joo FTW!
