Some days ago, my friend and I were strolling through a park after dinner, and just as I was telling her how much I liked the place, I felt it…
It’s full on Summer here in Perth and with hot weather usually comes sweatiness. Luckily I’m not a heavy sweater, so I’m usually quite okay, but recently I’ve been changing clothes around the clock because I’ve been sweating like crazy. I’m not sure what it is, maybe I’m getting old and weak?!
I’m not a gamer. I rarely play games, and if I do, it’s usually on my iPad, and it’s probably one of those personal-best-type of game, where you have to beat your previous score. I’m quite competitive when it comes to scores.
So one of my gamer friends told me I should try gaming on the computer. Of course I can’t. I have a Mac and you don’t game on Macs. I mean like real gaming. So we decided to take it easy and play some slime games online, like slime soccer for example.
So yeah, Lindy Hop. It wasn’t on my bucket list for 2018, but since I decided to be bolder this year, I took on the challenge.
A friend of mine suggested it and because he was sooo convincing, I ended up dragging my body to Swing class. I was actually surprised by the number of attendees. We were about 20 people all together, I was thinking only 5 people would show up (hah, guess I was wrong).
This is the second year I’m covering the Regional Softball Tournament here in Perth, and although I’m looking forward to swapping sandwiches for cameras for one week, I always dread the crazy hot weather.
First of all, a Happy New Year to you all and may you have a terrific year ahead, full of love and laughter!
I’ve spent my New Year’s Eve as quiet as you can imagine. I got home from work at 5, took a shower, sent out all my New Year’s wishes and went straight to bed. Then fireworks woke me up at midnight. I went to the balcony to watch it and called my family, then went back to sleep. I woke up at 7am today to get ready for work. I guess this will be the majority of 2018 for me: sleep and work.
The truth is, even though we’re 2 days away from that time of the year, I’m still not in a Christmassy mood. Christmas to me is: snow, fireplace, dinner with family and hot chocolate.
